Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use Policy
Effective: 12 May 2026 · Operator: Archalign Limited (Companies House No. 14635926) · Contact: legal@archalign.co.uk
Part A — Intellectual Property
1. Ownership of our content
All original content published on archalign.store and archalign.ltd — written copy, photography, video, illustrations, infographics, design files, visual identity, wordmark, the Archalign name, curatorial commentary, and the storefront software architecture — is the intellectual property of Archalign Limited or its licensors.
Protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (UK), the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works (1886, as revised), the Trade Marks Act 1994 (UK), and applicable international treaties.
2. Limited personal use
You may view, save locally, and print our content for personal, non-commercial reference. You may share a link to our pages on personal social media.
3. What you may not do
Without our prior written consent, you may not:
- Reproduce or copy our original content in any commercial form;
- Use our photography, video, or illustrations on a third-party website, marketplace listing, advertisement, or printed publication;
- Frame, mirror, embed, or hot-link our pages in a way that disguises origin;
- Scrape or crawl beyond what is permitted by our published robots.txt;
- Use our content — text, images, design files — to train, fine-tune, or evaluate a generative AI model, whether commercial or research-grade. Our content is published for human readers and human purchasers, and we reserve all rights with respect to machine ingestion. This reservation is consistent with the Text and Data Mining exception's opt-out under Directive (EU) 2019/790 Article 4 and with our position under the law of England and Wales;
- Use our trade marks, trade name, or logos in a manner that suggests endorsement.
4. Third-party intellectual property displayed on our properties
Product brand names, designer credits, manufacturer attributions, and partner logos are the intellectual property of the respective rights-holders, displayed under licensed reseller arrangements or fair-dealing principles. Rights-holders who believe we have used their IP in an unauthorised way should contact legal@archalign.co.uk; we respond within five business days.
5. User-submitted content
Where you submit content — a review, question, photo of an installed piece, project brief — you grant Archalign Limited a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use it for site/studio operations, including display to other visitors where appropriate. You retain ownership. You may withdraw the licence at any time by writing to legal@archalign.co.uk. You warrant that submitted content is yours to submit, doesn't infringe third-party rights, and is lawful.
Part B — Acceptable Use
6. The intended use of our web properties
Our web properties are the public catalogue of a UK-registered home-decor studio. Intended for visitors browsing the catalogue; customers placing Orders for personal or business use; trade partners and journalists; and the public-interest scrutiny any commercial website should reasonably expect.
7. What you must not do
While accessing our web properties, you must not:
- Attempt to access any non-public area, account, or system that is not yours;
- Probe, scan, or test vulnerability of any infrastructure without prior written authorisation (security researchers may write to legal@archalign.co.uk for coordinated disclosure);
- Introduce malware, spyware, ransomware, cross-site scripting payloads, or other software intended to disrupt or compromise our infrastructure;
- Engage in denial-of-service activity, including unreasonable automated request volumes;
- Use customer-service channels for unsolicited marketing, harassment, or repeated abuse;
- Place fraudulent Orders, use stolen payment instruments, or submit knowingly false identity/shipping information;
- Submit reviews that are not your own honest opinion, in violation of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008;
- Misrepresent your association with Archalign Limited;
- Use our infrastructure for activity infringing third-party IP;
- Use our properties in a way that breaches applicable law.
8. Our enforcement
Where we observe a breach, we may, proportionate to severity: issue a written warning; restrict your access (by IP or account); decline pending Orders and refund payments; refer to law enforcement where activity may be criminal; pursue civil remedies including injunctive relief. We document enforcement actions internally.
9. Reporting prohibited activity
Observed breaches (fraudulent reviews, abusive submissions, third-party IP infringement) → legal@archalign.co.uk with the relevant URL and brief description. Reports treated in confidence.
10. Responsible disclosure of security findings
Security researchers who have found a vulnerability: disclose to us before public disclosure. Email legal@archalign.co.uk with subject "Security disclosure". We acknowledge within 2 business days, investigate, agree a remediation timeline, and credit you publicly if you wish. We do not pursue civil or criminal action against good-faith researchers within this section's boundaries. No paid bug bounty currently.
